Greetings!
The holiday season is coming in with a full swing and the last meeting of the month is upon us already. I trust you are planning to have a great thanksgiving amidst this holiday season.
2014 was a busy and successful year for us. The section was one of the three nominees for excellence award. We continue to be one of the most active and supportive sections in the automation world. Building on that base, we have planned 2015 to be an even more exciting year.
November saw the most successful Chili Cook off in its 13 year history! We had the highest attendance and raised more money for scholarships than we have ever done before. I want to congratulate the winners of this event, who are:
• 1st Place: Gap Engineering
• 2nd Place: The Reynolds Group
• 3rd Place: RotorK
• Best Theme by Judges: GE
• People’s Choice Best Theme: TechStar
• People’s Choice Best Chili: GE
With that behind us, we start planning for our next event, the spring Golf Tournament. 2015 golf tournament will be at the Kingwood country club, and the registration will be open in the coming weeks. We continue to increase our participation, and to make sure that you have your team registered, make sure you reach out to us at your earliest.
The December meeting topic is Subsea Multiphase meters, and if you haven’t registered yet, it’s not too late. January will see the return of our quarterly networking event. We will return to the Sherlocks on Westhiemer in the Westchase district.
We continue to work with ISA Corporate and have already planned out the training calendar for 2015. Stay tuned on our website for more details on the training calendar.
Finally, if you wish to get involved with the ISA Houston Section, please feel free to drop a note to anyone of the board members, there is plenty you can do, and speaking from personal experience, there is plenty you will learn!
