A deeply focused conference agenda will explore critical challenges and how best to solve them through innovations in calibration technology, and new strategies, products and techniques in implementation of calibration process changes, optimizing quality measurement and improving safety.
Guided by two tracks, strategic and technical, attendees will have the opportunity to choose either, or mix and match sessions based on their interests. (Note that conference registrants can earn up to 8 PDHs by attending educational sessions.)
The strategic track is formulated to help executives discover solutions to achive operational excellence. Some example topics include planning for the future considering important market factors, such as the shortage of skilled workers combined with continually evolving technology, and how to maximize process efficiencies. It will cover additional fundamental issues of importance, such as:
– The Perfect Storm: Automation and the Future of Smart Manufacturing
– Maximizing productivity and quality using an integration-based approach
– Core elements of a compliant calibration program
– Why continuing education is vital to sustainability and success
– Six key steps for an effective process change
– How to implement a calibration process change
The technical track is designed to equip engineers and technicians with strategies for improving daily maintenance processes and tasks. Tactics for strengthening accuracy and quality, while lowering the risk of human errors will be taught by industry experts. Techniques for history trending of instruments to provide traceability and determination of calibration intervals will be discussed. In addition, the track will cover key topics of importance, such as:
– Loop calibration strategies
– Configuring and calibrating smart instruments
– Advanced techniques leveraging calibration management software
– Tips and techniques for automating calibration processes
– Hands-on workshop

**Reasons to attend**
Need a few reasons to justify time away or travel costs? Download this flyer to find out the top 3 reasons you should attend this one of a kind conference. Include it, along with this short message to whomever needs to approve your attendance:
I am requesting your approval to attend Less Risk, More Performance: Best Calibration Practices, hosted by the International Society of Automation (ISA) and Beamex. As you may know, ISA is a leading nonprofit professional association of automation and Beamex is a world class manufacturer of integrated calibration solutions. I believe I will learn important information that could help us with implementing new and improved calibration strategies, ultimately improving quality and safety, while lowering costs and saving time.
The conference will be held at ISA headquarters in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina on September 24th of this year. As I mentioned, I expect to learn quite a bit, and since there is a complimentary registration, I think it is a great deal and opportunity. On top of the formal program, I am excited to meet peers that are experiencing similar challenges. I have high hopes that the informal conversations will be just as valuable as the presentations themselves. Please approve my request, so that I may register for the event, as spaces are limited.
