WirelessHART technology continues to make the news and may in fact help reshape how we gather field measurementsand provide control signals in the future. However, it is only one piece of the evolutionary standard. Understanding what is available in wired HART 7 may bemore important for your short range goals. The speaker will present facts of HART technology and what you can expect from devices already available or in your plant today.

Ed is Director of Technology Programs for the HART Communication Foundation. A DeVry Institute of Technology Alumnus, Ed has over 20 years experience in process automation and related fields including work in field service, engineering and lab supervision and over 15 years in sales, marketing, and program management. In addition to his work experience, Ed had been published by a number of industry journals in Europe and the USA. Most recently, Ed was with ISA as Director of Conferences and Technical Programs. Ed is a senior member of ISA and has held many volunteer leadership roles including Director of the Process Measurement and Control Division and 2004-05 ISA Expo Conference Chair. Ed has had a continuous membership in ISA since 1988.
