In addition to a basic overview of Foundation Fieldbus, the presentation will discuss the necessary manufactured wiring devices to provide a complete control loop and communications system using this technology. Available resources for further study of the technology will also be presented.

About the Presenter

Jim is an ISA member and an active guest speaker at local ISA and IEEE technical meetings covering topics such as Grounding & Bonding, Surge Protection, Wireless Communications, and Fiber Optic Technology. After completing a tour of duty in the US Army, Jim studied Electrical Engineering Technology at The University of Houston and Marketing at Northwest Missouri State University. Jim joined the Phoenix Contact team in 1992 and today is a Project Engineer out of Houston, Texas working with the engineering teams of major corporations and engineering firms. He has over 35 years of application experience in the Process, Oil & Gas, Pipeline, Water/Wastewater, and Transportation industries.
